Does every one of your videos need to be optimized to get the maximum potential results that you’re looking for when you’re doing a video on Videosocials? It depends, but know this: sometimes it’s not only okay, it’s actually preferable to throw in a get-to-know-you video. Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net COO and Co-Founder, Mark Bullock, explains what that is and why you should be recording them.

Do every one of your videos need to be optimized to get the maximum potential results that you’re looking for when you’re doing a video on Videosocials ?

Hi, I’m Mark Bullock with Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net . And the answer to that question is ‘it depends.’ What do I mean?

I mean if you’re going to do three or four videos, just a small handful and they’ve got to land and they’ve got to produce results, well, yeah, you really want to optimize them. But that’s not what we designed the system for. We designed it for video blogging. It’s not to say that you can’t use it for anything — training, notices, whatever it is. But we designed it for video blogging.

Video blogging is a little different. And what I mean by that is, of course you want to have a call to action at the end. You want to introduce yourself. You want to optimize as much as you can. But sometimes it’s not only okay, it’s actually preferable if you throw in a get-to-know-you video. A what’s-on-your-mind video. A video that’s for your audience — is for those to get to know, like, and trust you and to relate and connect with you. And this happens once you start doing 20 or 30 or 40 videos, and it starts to be that much more okay to not have it completely optimized.

One of the other issues with having the only thing that you produce are highly optimized, marketing driven videos is even if you’re really good at it, it still feels like, to some degree, you know, they’re trying to sell me their services. They’re, yeah, they’re trying to sell me their services and that may be okay, but every once in a while for you just to have a chat with your audience, have a chat with the other person that’s going to be watching this video in the future. Relate to them. Let them know what’s going on in your life or in your business. And relay your feelings. It allows people to connect with you at a human level. And that’s a big part of what video blogging is.

Hope you found that valuable. And I encourage you to at least once in a while take a shot at just having a chat with your audience. Take care.
