So, exactly what is the World Wide Web and how is it analogous to marketing online?

Hi. I’m Mark Bullock. I’m the co-founder of Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net.

And the World Wide Web is what we call the internet nowadays. So — or what we call ‘being online,’ as an example. So, before I draw the analogy to marketing, I want you to understand what the World Wide Web is — what the internet is. So, it’s a series of distributed connection points in which you can have a presence in any one of those connection points — much as a spiderweb has lots of intersections — but are you connecting those dots?

So, this is the marketing analogy part. So, if you have a Facebook profile, you have a website, you have a LinkedIn profile, you have a LinkedIn company page, you have a Twitter feed, you have a YouTube channel, etc., etc., etc. — all of those are points of those potential intersects, as it were, on the web or your marketing web, okay? The center of which I’m going to say, is probably your website or whatever your primary focus is, which is there to represent you, your brand, your company’s brand, etc.

So, all points should have a connection point back to you. But in addition to that, if you don’t want this web to be a very small spider’s web, you’d like it to be a large spider’s web, well, that requires other people. That requires connecting with, liking, sharing, commenting on, co-promoting with other people who have — and other companies that have — pinpoints out on the Big Web.

So, in other words, the best way to expand your marketing and expand your presence in the World Wide Web is to leverage, connect with, share, like, follow, comment, and cross-promote with others so that you can expand those number of points, and all of those points ultimately have a path back to you. The reason why that we have a social share. So, whatever the next one is, sign up and come, and take a look at how you can expand your web to be more inclusive of the rest of the World Wide Web, and expand your reach and expand your marketing.
