And now for something a little different. Hi, I’m Mark Bullock with Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net. And we’ve had a client with phoneBlogger for about a decade and she’s also become a Videosocials client. So her name is Ada Hasloecher. She’s a divorce and family mediator in Long Island. And the reason that I bring it up is a question was asked to me, ‘how do I get more traction with my videos? How do I get more people to watch and engage, etc.’ And Ada was letting us know a few weeks ago that basically every time she gets a phone call from a client that’s been a referral or they found her on the internet, etc., they mention that they’ve been watching her videos, and as a matter of fact, many of them will say they’ve got one of her videos open right now as they’re calling her for the consult. So obviously it’s working. Why is it working? In her case, she is consistent beyond belief.
So for a decade she’s been doing blog posts, a couple of them every month, going out to multiple social media channels every month, going out in newsletters to all everyone that knows her that’s on her mailing list every month. So why is that happening? Well, she hired us for phoneBlogger . She’s the author. She creates the content. She writes the blog articles. She records the videos. She’s absolutely the author. And we just help with all the logistics of getting it out there on a consistent basis and acting a bit as an accountability partner, if you will, to make sure that things are getting done, things are getting approved, etc.
It’s very simple. It’s really not rocket science, but it requires actually thinking about ‘how do I get something out with consistency?’ It doesn’t need to be every day. It doesn’t even need to be every week. Just needs to happen with consistency.
Oh, and the flip side of this is anything that she’s created is a value to whoever is consuming it. So if it’s a written blog post, a video, an audio podcast, whatever it is, she focuses on the value for the listener, the watcher, the reader, so that she’s… it’s not all about self promotion. She always ties it in. She has great calls to action, ties it into her business, etc. But over time, she has become a great writer. Over time, she’s become great on video and because she was willing to practice and play the consistency game.
Hope you found that valuable and I encourage you to find a way to be consistent. If you need help, we’re here. Again, Mark Videosocials.net , phoneBlogger.net . Have a great day.
