Imagine a podcaster or YouTuber has invited you to be interviewed by them on their show. And you go and you do that, and it seems like it went pretty well and you get the information that… this is a good idea, etc. And then you never hear from them again. And you have no idea — Did it get posted somewhere? Where did it get posted? What should you be doing with it? Etc. Don’t let this happen to your guests.

Hi. I’m Mark Bullock. I’m the co-founder of Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net and our Videosocials VIP Services.

So, one of the things that we’ve learned through our Show Host Network which is a lot of hosts of video interview podcasters and YouTubers and Livestreamers, etc. is we’re hearing now, multiple times, that guests are having this type of experience. I have to ask — why would we do that to them, right?

So, we want to make sure that we… you want to leverage — if you’re a host, you want to leverage the best possible use of the content that you went to all that trouble to create with them, first of all. Second of all, they’re a person and they’ve got connections and they’ve got a network. And so, why wouldn’t you want to facilitate and help them to build their own practices, and build their own branding, through having been interviewed through you?

So, how do you solve this? Schedule a follow-up when you record the session. In other words, plan on getting together with them. Maybe they can teach you something but even if not, you can certainly, probably, teach them something about how to promote and syndicate and get that work that you did — that interview — out there to those that make the most different… will make the most difference for you and for them, as well as exploring what other synergies.

You know, the secret to success in almost all things is follow-up and we all fall short of that follow-up sometimes, and this is just one of those areas that it’s not just about going to all the trouble to get it done and then you do with it whatever you do with it and never mind the guest.

Engage them in the process. Expand the relationship. You’ve already really deepened the relationship by having an interview in the first place. So, go ahead and… and leverage that relationship and leverage the content by connecting with and following -up with your guests.

Hope you found this valuable. If you did, there’re lots more at Videosocials.net/Academy and there’ll be links below for our Show Host Network and for our VIP Service, should you need some help with doing your own podcast and /or livestreams. Take care.
