From the video...

Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net COO and Co-Founder, Mark Bullock, reminds you that you should present yourself on video as if you were in person with a client or customer. If you’d have your hair down in the room with your client, then have your hair down on video. The more authentic you are in your video, the more likely your message is going to land with your audience.

Should you let your hair down when you’re doing Videosocials — doing, recording videos on Video socials?

Hi, I’m Mark Bullock and the co -founder Videosocials, and I let my hair down today. So, that’s very unusual, and it’s for a point. I have a ponytail or I usually have a ponytail. I have long hair and I have a big beard. It’s just who I am. That’s — No, I don’t have a Harley. No, I don’t have tattoos etc . It’s just… it’s just… it’s just the style that I have. In a business setting, if I’m going to go in for a business meeting, I’m gonna tie my hair back. I’m going to wear a jacket, etc.

So, the answer for me is, yeah, sometimes I might let my hair down. The answer for you is going to depend. What does it depend on? It depends on your audience. Who is your audience? What do they expect? And an easy way to consider it is, how do you dress and appear for them when you’re sitting across the desk from them? Yeah, I know it’s been a year, probably, since you met with anybody physically, but remember back. What did you wear? What do you wear when you sit with a prospective client or an existing client? That’s the safest and easiest thing to do when it comes to creating videos, because what are you trying to do? You’re trying to connect with your audience. You’re trying to allow them to get to know, like, and trust you. And the more authentic that you are — the more it’s in alignment with who they might meet — is who they also see on video — the more likely that it’s going to land and they’re going to be able to get over that hump of being nervous about meeting with you or sitting with you or writing you a big check. So, it’s really — so the answer is — it depends, unfortunately.

But the… but the bigger thing that I wanted to get across to you is — be yourself, you know. If you meet with your clients, meet with your prospects etc. etc. with your hair down — and please do so on video because that’s who you are. If you’re, you know, buttoned up, wearing the tie, etc. , then do that for the video, because that way your audience, once they become in your presence, and sit down and have that consultation with you, they’re getting what they saw on screen. Again, Mark with Videosocials.net — phone Blogger.net . Hope you found that valuable.
